UK access rental company Braddan Plant Hire has appointed Simon Ward as sales and hire manager, he joins the company following a short spell with Hubbway Plant Hire.

Ward began his career in 1989 with the British Army's Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, where he was a recovery mechanic. His entry into the aerial lift market came in 1999, when he joined Nationwide Platforms as a truck mounted lift operator. After nine years in the role, he was appointed as an area sales manager, and five years later was promoted to business development manager for the oil & gas sector. He left the company in 2013 for a business development position at Hire Station, the low level access business within the Vp group.
In 2022, he was appointed general manager of APL aerial platforms in Newcastle, leaving earlier this year for Hubbway.
Braddan said: “We would like to welcome Simon as our new sales and hire manager, he has more than 15 years of experience in the powered access industry and will be a great addition to our ever growing company.”
