City Tadano for Schares

German rental company Autokrane Schares has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Tadano AC 3.045-1 City type All Terrain crane, marking crane operator Andreas Erzening’s 30th anniversary with the company.

The three axle crane - ordered during Bauma earlier this year - features a 31.2 metre main boom plus a 7.1 to 13 metre swingaway extension, taking the maximum tip height to more than 45 metres. The crane also comes with Tadano’s Flex Base variable outrigger set-up, with the crane control system monitoring the extension and slew position to calculate the optimum load chart for the configuration.

Autokrane managing director Tim Schlattmann said: “No one is more familiar with the advantages of Tadano City cranes than us - after all, we have several AC 40 City units in our fleet already and are tremendously happy with them.”

Eric Reichmann of Schares added: “We also loved the higher engine power in comparison to its predecessor, as well as the rear axle steering that makes the crane extremely manoeuvrable – put all this together, and the AC 3.045-1 City is simply unbeatable when it comes to indoor projects and jobs at work sites where space is cramped.”

Schares operates from headquarters in Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia, and has a fleet of All Terrain cranes up to 500 tonnes along with spider cranes, mobile self-erecting tower cranes and wide range of aerial work platforms with 100 employees.
