Polish rental company Śmielak has used its new 37.5 metre Multitel MJ 375 truck mounted platform to install and then decorate a large Christmas tree at a shopping centre in Warsaw, along with a number of large decorative light installations on the building.

Purchased through dealer Windex, the MJ 375 is mounted on a two axle MAN chassis and features a four section main boom and three section articulating jib for a maximum outreach of 25.8 metres with 120kg in the platform, 24.3 metres with 280kg and 20.8 metres with its maximum platform capacity of 500kg. It also features a total of 360 degrees of platform rotation - 180° + 180°, along with a superstructure mounted operator’s cab, for use when required, especially for crane duties.
Moving onto large decorations on the building
The MJ 375 was chosen for this job due to its compact dimensions and ability to work in confined spaces, and its ability to function as a truck mounted crane with a lift capacity of up to 700kg, ideal for lifting a Christmas tree into place.
The 360° of platform rotation is ideal for jobs like this
Śmielak purchased its first Multitel, a 22 metre 2 Alu, in 1998, it was the very first Multitel platform to join a rental fleet in Poland. The company was founded as an independent company in 1998, but it can trace its roots lifting and access equipment back to 1978. The business is now led by Krzysztof Śmielak together with his sons Konrad and Kacper.
Its main focus is on the rental of truck mounted aerial work platforms and Palazzani spider lifts with operators, supporting projects in industry, construction, energy, infrastructure and urban environments across Poland. The Multitel MJ 375 is currently the largest lift in the company’s fleet, but it is considering adding a 71 metre Multitel MJE 710 for work in the wind power industry.
All done and ready to head home
