Sixth crane completes the deal

UK rental company Bronzeshield has taken delivery of the sixth Liebherr All Terrain crane in a six unit deal that began in 2024.

The package includes three 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2s, a 150 tonne LTM 1150-5.3, and two 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1s.

The four axle LTM 1090-4.2 - the most recent unit delivered - features a 60 metre main boom plus a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of just under 80 metres.

The three axle LTM 1060-3.1 is equipped with a six section 48 metre boom, topped by a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to more than 67 metres, while also offering up to 40 degrees of offset. The crane can carry all its 12.8 tonnes of counterweight within the UK’s STGO regulations, which allows axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes.

The largest unit in the package, the five axle LTM 1150-5.3, is equipped with a 66 metre, seven section main boom along with the 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets hydraulically by up to 40 degrees. A seven metre insert can take the maximum tip height to almost 95 metres.

Bronzeshield is based near Crayford, Kent, on the south east side of London. Its fleet includes All Terrains up to 500 tonnes, spider cranes and Spierings mobile self-erecting tower cranes. It also has depots in Bromsgrove, near Birmingham and Norwich in East Anglia.
