Linamar buys plant in the UK

Linamar the owner of Skyjack, has announced that it has signed a preliminary agreement to purchase a component plant owned by Visteon Corporation in Swansea,Wales.

The plant currently produces power transfer units, transfer cases and axles with Ford being the plant’s largest customer.

Linda Hasenfratz, Linamar's chief executive said:
"The plant in Swansea offers us unique opportunities to service potential UK and other European customers from a new strategic location."
