Boels COO to step down

Dutch international rental group Boels has announced the departure of its chief operating officer Reiant Mulder, after seven and half years in the role.

Mulder joined the Boels group in 2018 after almost 15 years with the Randstad group. He is reported to be pursuing a new opportunity outside Boels.

The change will take effect from the end of March.

Mulder will be replaced by Lars Reehorst, currently a regional managing director. At the same time, three other senior executives will join the board. Erik Damoiseaux as chief business officer, Manon Douven as chief human resources officer and Bob de Leeuw as chief technology officer.

They will join existing board members: chief executive Pier Boels, chief financial officer René OIsthoorn and chief procurement officer Guy Cremer.

Lars Reehorst joined the company four and a half years ago, from Trackunit, where he was a European regional director and has served in his current since 2024. He began his access related career in 2011 as a business analyst with Dutch access and telehandler rental company Riwal. He was promoted after two years to manager of operational excellence and three years later was transferred to Riwal’s Manlift subsidiary in Qatar, leaving in 2020 for Trackunit.

Erik Damoiseaux is currently managing director of DIY & Specials. He joined the company in 2019 as head of mergers & acquisitions and integration.

Manon Douven is currently chief human resources officer. She joined the company in 2019 as manager of HR services and has been HR director for the past two years.

Bob de Leeuw is currently chief information officer, having joined Boels in mid 2024 with the Riwal acquisition, where he had held a similar role since 2021. He has a long career in IT with the Randstad group, Damen Shipyards, Vodafone and finance company De Lage Landen.
