US maritime company Seaboard Marine has taken delivery of three 154 tonne electric Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour cranes, for work at its terminals in Port Miami and the Port of Houston.

The LHM 550 can handle its maximum 154 tonne capacity at a radius of 54 metres. It also features Liebherr's SmartGrab, an intelligent system that optimises grab filling rates in a self learning manner, helping increase the fill rate, while avoiding overloads.
The company already operates eight Liebherr mobile harbour cranes, taking its first in 2021.
Seaboard Marine was established in 1983, operates a fleet of around 20 vessels and 60,000 containers, serving 40 ports. The company carries more cargo to and from Port Miami than any other carrier.
