Chinese manufacturer LiuGong has promoted Harry Mellor to sales director, at its UK company store, LiuGong UK. He has been working as European product director for the past 30 months.
In his new role, Mellor will be responsible for strengthening relationships with customers and dealers as well as expanding the UK dealer network.

Mellor began his construction equipment related career in 2012 as a test and development engineer with JCB. He was promoted to excavator product specialist in 2017 and went on to become senior excavator product and marketing specialist in 2019. The following year, he made the move to LiuGong as European product manager for excavators, and three and a half years later was promoted to European product director.
The LiuGong UK business offers markets, with most of the manufacturer's product range, including booms and scissor lifts, forklift trucks, excavators, wheel loaders and skid steers.
Mellor said: “My focus will be on strengthening our market position, accelerating sustainable growth, and deepening partnerships with customers and dealers across the UK and Ireland.”
LiuGong added: “This appointment reflects our confidence in the UK construction equipment market and our commitment to building strong, long term partnerships with dealers.”
