Italian truck mounted and spider lift manufacturer CTE has promoted James Bunting to UK general manager, he was previously head of operations.
He succeeds Massimo Franceschi, who, following the transition, will shift his focus to the company’s commercial strategy, with particular emphasis on other European markets.

Bunting began his access career in 1998 when he joined vehicle mounted platform rental company EPL Access as an engineering apprentice. EPL was acquired by Lavendon in 2009, and became EPL-Skylift, before being merged fully into Nationwide Platforms. Bunting remained with the business in service manager roles, becoming national service support manager in 2019, and was promoted to regional service manager in 2020. Three years later, he left the company to join CTE as head of service in and was promoted to head of operations in 2024.

Chief operations officer Marco Govoni said: "We are extremely confident in entrusting the leadership of CTE UK to James (Jimmy). His experience and the work he has done in synergy with Massimo are the best guarantee for CTE's future in an area that is fundamental for us. At the same time, Massimo's return to the European scene will allow us to accelerate our growth in key markets."
