IPAF Summit & IAPAs postponed
The annual IPAF Summit and International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA)s originally scheduled for April 21st and 22nd in Istanbul, Turkey, have been postponed until October 14th and 15th due to concerns over the current conflict in the Middle East.
The rescheduled event will use the same hotels for the networking reception, the IPAF Summit and the IAPAs. The three hotels recommended for the event have also been made aware of the change.
A statement issued by IPAF said: “The event has been delayed as a result of current events in the Middle East and the need to ensure the safety and wellbeing of delegates, sponsors and employees. In particular, we are aware of the uncertainties around travel for delegates from the Middle East, including companies from the region shortlisted for the awards.”
“Delegates will be able to transfer their event booking to the new dates in October. Those unable to attend the event on the new dates are requested to contact IPAF. Delegates will also have to reschedule hotel and airline bookings."
IPAF chief executive Peter Douglas added: “As joint organisers, we regret the need to take this action, but it had become clear in recent days that we had no choice but to change the dates. The safety of all those involved in the Summit and IAPAs is paramount. We know this will be an inconvenience for all those attending the event and we ask for your understanding.”
