Twin 250 tonners for Global

Scottish rental and heavy haulage company Global Crane Services has taken delivery of two 250 tonne Liebherr LTM1250-5.1 All Terrain cranes.

The five axle LTM 1250-5.1 features a six section 60 metre main boom, plus a 36 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 50 metres with inserts and offset hydraulically by up to 45 degrees. The delivery comes hot on the heels of a 700 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 added to the Global fleet in February.

Global Crane Services was established in 2013 as a division of Global Port Services, following its acquisition of Port Services Group, which can trace its roots back to 1986.

The company now runs a fleet that includes 70 Liebherr cranes, including two 750 tonne LG 1750 lattice wheeled mobiles with a 600 tonne Terex/Demag TC 2800-1 lattice truck crane.
