Scottish rental and heavy haulage company Global Crane Services has taken delivery of two 250 tonne Liebherr LTM1250-5.1 All Terrain cranes.
The five axle LTM 1250-5.1 features a six section 60 metre main boom, plus a 36 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which can be extended to 50 metres with inserts and offset hydraulically by up to 45 degrees. Global Crane Services was established in 2013 as a division of Global Port Services - part of the Global Energy Group based in Inverness, following the acquisition of Port Services Group, which traced its roots back to 1986. The Global group owns the Port of Nigg facility at the entrance to the Cromarty Firth. Last year, the business was acquired by Japan's Mitsui - See: Mitsui acquires Nigg/Global Energy Services
The company now runs a fleet that includes 70 Liebherr cranes, including two 750 tonne LG 1750 lattice wheeled mobiles with a 600 tonne Terex/Demag TC 2800-1 lattice truck crane.
