A first for Ireland

Irish rental company Clem Jacob Hire has taken delivery of two Niftylift booms, 50ft HR17N hybrid and a new 33ft HR12, the first third generation unit to arrive in the country.

The HR17N offers a working height of 17.2 metres, an outreach of 9.6 metres and an overall width of just 1.5 metres. The units are fitted with Bi-Energy (diesel & battery) power packs and non-marking tyres, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The Gen 3 HR12 - updated in May last year - has an unrestricted platform capacity of 225kg, a maximum working height of 12.1 metres and a maximum outreach of 6.4 metres. The new booms join a number of other Niftylift models in the fleet, including the 612ft HR21 and several 86ft HR28’s, all ordered through local dealer Glendun Plant Sales.

Dermot Cunnie of Glendun Plant Sales, said: "The HR12 Hybrid is the latest fuel saving machine with Gen-2 Hybrid system from Niftylift. This compact 4x4 boom can operate indoors and outdoors under battery or engine power economically and quietly. These are the first of several new Niftylift machines to be sold to Clem Jacob Hire on their 20th anniversary."

Established in 2006 and based in Waterford, south east Ireland, the company runs a fleet of scissor lifts, boom lifts and forklifts as well as other earthmoving machinery. It also offers IPAF accredited training courses.
