Xwatch adds trainers

UK based Xwatch Safety Solutions, which produces load, height and slew limiters along with other safety equipment has promoted Billy Hughes from installation engineer to product support trainer, and Adam Guilfoyle from product support engineer to senior product trainer.
Both men joined the company in 2023 and will now focus on technical training of Xwatch engineers, as well as providing training support to customers and partner companies for their own engineering teams.

Hughes began his career in 2007 as a cleaning specialist with facilities company NSS, moving into the aerial lift sector in August 2021 as a technical support engineer with Boels, before joining Xwatch in 2023.

Speaking of his new role, Hughes said: "I have always enjoyed working with engineers and helping people understand the systems properly. It is a great opportunity to share what we have learned in the field and support engineers both in the UK and overseas."

Guilfoyle began his career in 2011 as a service engineer with construction company Interserve, leaving for defence manufacturer Babcock International three years later. After a brief spell back with Interserve, he joined K&W Mechanical Services in 2016 and, after three and a half years with the company, moved to National Plant Solutions as a field service engineer, returning to K&W in 2019 and moving to Xwatch in 2023.

Guilfoyle added: "Having started as an installation engineer, I know how important it is to have the right training and support when you are out on site. Xwatch is growing quickly, and I'm looking forward to helping engineers build their knowledge, confidence and understanding of the systems."

Established in 2018, Xwatch is based in Dorset, southern England and is part of the Hexagon group. It supplies safety and machinery control systems for construction, lifting, mining and transport equipment. Its product range includes height and slew limiters, rated capacity indication and monitoring, and telematics tools that provide visibility of machine settings, fault codes and load data, aimed at helping operators and fleet owners manage equipment within safe working limits.
