300 tonner for Mert Vinç

Turkish rental company Mert Vinç has taken delivery of a 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.4 All Terrain its ninth Liebherr crane.

The LTM 1300-6.4 - updated in May 2024 - features an eight section, 90 metre main boom topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, to which two seven metre inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a tip height of 121 metres. Other features include the Variobase Plus outrigger setup system, which offers a wider, more variable rear outrigger spread - up to 9.4 metres - as well as AutoBallast. The crane will be largely used to install and remove tower cranes on high rise projects, work at the local shipyards and on energy infrastructure. The LTM 1300-6.4 first job will be on a petrochemical site installing tower cranes and power lines pylons.

Mert Vinç owner, Mehmet Eşref Zevzir said: “In addition to the base unit, we have ordered lattice jibs, a second winch and seven metre extension sections. Combined with the Liccon3 control system, our new six axle crane is ideal for efficient, safe and versatile crane operations."

Founded in 1991, Mert Vinç is based in western Istanbul and offers crane rental and heavy haulage services supported by a team of 60 employees. It now runs a fleet of nine Liebherr cranes, including four 230 tonne LTM 1230‑5.1’s, as well as truck cranes, a large fleet of knuckle boom /loader cranes and a few truck mounted lifts.
