Klipboard adds AI to rental platform

Rental software and solutions supplier Klipboard has added ‘rental-specific’ Artificial Intelligence to its rental management platform, OnRent Go.

The tool, Klipboard AI, lets users ask questions about availability, utilisation, contracts, customers and other operational topics, drawing answers from live data held in the system. The company says this removes the need to run reports or manually compile information across multiple screens.

Klipboard AI can also carry out tasks such as raising orders and invoices, scheduling equipment hire and emailing documents or contracts. The company says it plans to embed the same capabilities into other OnRent products in the near future.

Chief technology and product officer DJ Jones said: “The rental sector operates in fast-moving environments where visibility and responsiveness have a direct operational impact. We believe AI becomes genuinely valuable when it is embedded directly into the workflows teams already use every day - helping them access information faster, reduce delays and improve utilisation without adding complexity.”

Klipboard was Kerridge Commercial Systems, until last year and also incorporates insphire which it acquired in 2018. It provides business management software to customers across 76 countries, operating from offices in the UK, Europe, USA, Africa, Nordic countries and Australia.
