Doggett expands Link-Belt territory

Link-Belt Cranes has added southeast Texas to the territory of its long time distributor Doggett Crane Services, with a primary focus on the greater Houston metropolitan area.

Doggett has been distributing Link Belt Cranes in Louisiana since 2016 from its headquarters in Baton Rouge and branches in Lake Charles and Shreveport. Doggett sells the full Link Belt range as well as providing comprehensive after sales support, including replacement parts, maintenance, inspections, and field service support.

Link-Belt marketing vice president Gary Lane said: “The Houston metroplex remains one of the nation’s most important markets for construction, petrochemical, infrastructure, port, and energy related projects. With an established regional presence and extensive equipment support capabilities, Doggett is well-positioned to provide local sales, service, parts, and technical support to crane owners and contractors across the region.”

Doggett vice president, Mike Ortiz added: “Since becoming a Link-Belt distributor, we have seen the strength of the product and the value it brings to customers. We look forward to bringing that same experience and support to customers throughout the Houston area and all of southeast Texas.”

Doggett began in 1993 when childhood friends Leslie Doggett and Brady Carruth acquired Toyota Lift of Houston from Gulf States Toyota. The business started with 18 employees, including nine technicians, and focused on growing forklift sales and service in the Houston area. Over time, the company expanded through acquisitions and now operates across Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico, with 55 dealerships distributing John Deere construction equipment, Link-Belt cranes, Toyota forklifts and Freightliner trucks and trailers. It says it has approximately 2,000 employees, including 700 factory trained service engineers.
