Welsh rental company RRC Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Liebherr LTM1450-8.1 All Terrain crane, which takes over as the fleet's new flagship crane.

The eight axle LTM 1450-8.1 - which will be showcased on Liebherr's stand this year at Vertikal Days in September - can travel with its full 85 metre main boom in place, along with outriggers and winch within 12 tonne axle loads. In the UK where axle loads of up to 16 tonnes are tolerated, it can also travel with its seven metre swingaway extension and up to 24 tonnes of counterweight on board. The crane comes complete with VarioBallast adjustable counterweight and VarioBase variable outrigger set up system.

Based in Wrexham, North East Wales, RRC runs a wide ranging crane fleet that includes road going pick & carry industrial cranes, City type All Terrains, a six axle Spierings self-erecting mobile tower crane and All Terrains ranging from a two axle 35 tonner to the 450 tonne LTM 1450-8.1.
