Fatal crush/entrapment incident
An electrician died on Saturday in a scissor lift entrapment incident.
The incident occurred in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, on the construction site of a new residential tower being built by housing association Paras Tierra.
Reports claim that the scissor lift simply started to elevate without the operator touching the controls, crushing him against the ceiling and inflicting serious injuries to his head and neck. The man, Saurabh Kamat, was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
