Wind farm crane fatality
A man has died in a crane incident at a wind farm construction site in Blackford County, northeast of Indianapolis in Indiana
The incident occurred on Friday, July 10th, but so far all we know is that it involved a ‘crane collapse’, according to local coroner Zach Crouch. This was also confirmed by the sheriff.
The victim, Hunter Torpey, 27, suffered some serious head injuries in the incident and was declared dead at the scene.
Unusually, none of our contacts in the region has passed on any information, hopefully that will change over the next few days.
