GMV appoints Pick & Place

Danish material handling and glass lifting equipment manufacturer GMV, which sells its products under the Winlet, ErgoMover and Handling brands, has appointed Pick & Place (P&P) Lifting Equipment as its official distributor for Canada.

Based in Vancouver, Pick & Place Lifting Equipment - part of Sentinel Glass - supplies glass lifting equipment including vacuum lifters and glazing robots for shop fronts, curtain walling and oversized panels. In addition to selling and renting GMV's Winlet glazing robots, ErgoMover electric transport trolleys and Lasius compact pick & carry cranes, it offers a full line of vacuum lifting rigs and counterbalance beams.

The company has already received its first Winlet 600 600kg glazing robot, with a second one on order along with a tracked one tonne Winlet 1000 glazing robot and says it has already made its first sale.

GMV export manager, Henrik Skibsted said: “Canada is an important market with a strong glazing and construction industry, and we see a clear fit between the needs of local contractors and the solutions we manufacture in Denmark. With Pick & Place Lifting Equipment and Sentinel Glass, we will be working with a partner that understands the practical challenges on site and the value of safe, efficient and precise material handling.”

P&P Lifting is based in Greater Vancouver, but carries out project work throughout British Columbia, while shipping its equipment to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Quebec.

Established in 1988, GMV is based in Bredsten between Vejle and Billund on Jutland, with a team of 40 employees.
