First CLP gantry in the US

US based heavy lift and rigging specialist Engineered Rigging has taken delivery of a 130 tonne LG132-0750, the first Officine CLP hydraulic gantry crane to arrive in the country.

The LG132-0750 - one of nine models in CLP's LG Series spanning from the 60 tonne LG062-0505 up to the 400 tonne LG402-0780 - uses four jacking towers to lift 130 tonnes. The system provides a maximum lifting height of 7.5 metres from a fully retracted transport height of 3.15 metres. Each tower has a leg base dimension of 900mm by 1.70 metres, with a wheelbase of 630mm, and weighs 2.75 tonnes. The complete system can be transported on a single trailer.

Design features across the range include internally ported hose free cylinders, self-contained power packs, electronic overload protection, remote emergency stop, side shift limiting and automated synchronised levelling.

Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging said: "Every model in the CLP LG Series was engineered to maintain its full load capacity at maximum height, a capability that sets these gantries apart. That performance, paired with their state of the art control package and modular design, makes them ideal for the rigorous demands of industrial facilities."

Engineered Rigging is headquartered in Indiana, the Midwest, with an equipment depot and service centre in Russellville, Arkansas. The company operates across the construction, manufacturing, power/oil & gas, and mining sectors, offering equipment rental and sales, engineering services and equipment testing.
