UK rental company Select Plant Hire has placed a £5 million order for JCB equipment, including a number of telehandlers. The two companies have not yet released a breakdown of the orders, so we are uncertain as to what percentage the telehandler orders are of the whole, but indications are that the bulk of the order is made up of the 360 degree tracked excavators.
Supplied through dealer Greenshields JCB, the order ALSO includes excavators and dumpers.
Select now runs a large telehandler fleet Select's head of equipment Warren Wilkinson said: “Investing in our fleet is critical to ensuring we can continue to support our current clients and expand our pipeline with modern, reliable and high performing plant.”
JCB's Steve Fox added: “This £5 million investment represents a significant vote of confidence in JCB and underlines the strength of our relationship with Select Plant Hire. We look forward to continuing to support them as they deliver some of the UK’s most important construction and infrastructure projects.”
Based in Kent, southern England and founded in 1985, Select is part of the Laing O’Rouke Group and operates one of the UK’s largest crawler and tower crane fleets, topped by a 66 tonne Terex CTL1600-66, as well as running a not insignificant self-propelled aerial lift fleet.
