TDH3 rental management platform

Newly founded UK software company TDH3 Systems has launched its first product, TDH3, a business management platform designed to bring each stage of a crane hire, access or specialist transport job onto a single record.

The company says the platform was developed because a single job is often split across several systems, with the quote, job plan, compliance documents and transport records held separately. The platform brings these together from first enquiry to invoice, covering planning, compliance and lift plans, transport, purchasing and job costing. The company says the aim is to reduce duplicated data entry, while leaving safety critical decisions with competent people.

TDH3 founder Tom Craig said: "TDH3 came from seeing the industry from both sides - I've worked on site around cranes and lifting operations, including as a slinger and lift supervisor, and I've also worked in the office dealing with customers, quotations, planning, operators, equipment, paperwork and the commercial side of the job. That gave me a clear view of where information gets lost and where businesses end up relying on spreadsheets, WhatsApp messages, emails and people simply remembering what happened. The people doing the job make those systems work because they know the industry, but that doesn't mean the system itself is working for them."

"I'm not coming into the crane industry from the outside telling people how they should run their businesses. TDH3 has been shaped by having actually done the work, both alongside the cranes and behind the desk, and asking a simple question: how can technology take more of the administration and repetition away from the people who already know how to do their jobs?"

TDH3 Systems was established earlier this year and operates from Lancashire, northwest England.
