100m Ruthmann for Slagelse

Danish access rental company Slagelse Lift has taken delivery of a 100 metre Ruthmann T 1000 HF truck mounted work platform, upstaging the 90 metre T 900 which it purchased last year. The new platform is now the largest in the country.

The T1000 HF is essentially a stretched 90 metre T900 HF with the same five section lower boom, four section upper boom and HF articulating jib configuration but with longer boom sections, with a similar maximum outreach of 39 metres. The 3.82 metre by 970mm extended platform is also equipped with several operator assistance systems, including DRS range optimisation and RTC service & telematics. The overall weight is 53 tonnes, thanks to the use of a standard five axle chassis. Slagelse says it will be used across Europe as well as in Denmark, on telecom masts, wind turbines, high rise buildings, façades, infrastructure and high voltage power lines.

Slagelse co-owner Anders Lindboe said: "We are seeing a market for the very largest platforms, and we want to be at the forefront when customers require such lifts. The T 1000 gives us capabilities that only a very small number of rental companies can offer."

Founded in 1981, Slagelse Lift operates from four locations: Three on Zealand - Slagelse in the east, Copenhagen in the west and Næstved in the south, along with Aarhus on Jutland. It runs a fleet of around 300 platforms, including around 25 truck mounts with working heights from 45 to 100 metres, boom lifts up to a 180ft Genie, as well as scissor and mast lifts, mast booms, trailer lifts, telehandlers and glass handling robots.
