Liebherr will run its ‘Game of Cranes’ mobile operator competition for a second time, with nominations opening today, 1st October. The final is set to take place at its Ehingen facility in southern Germany next June.
The competition is open to Liebherr crane customers globally and between the 1st October and 13th November, companies can nominate operators through an online form, which must be submitted by the administrator of the company's MyLiebherr account. Nominated operators will then receive an email link to upload a photo and a video application, also by 13th November.

All valid entries go to a public online vote, while a panel of Liebherr staff assesses the submissions in parallel. The two results are combined to produce an overall ranking. Entries can involve any size of Liebherr crane from a two axle machine up to a 1,200 tonne unit.
The top five operators in each of five regions - North America, South America, Europe, Australia, and Africa, Middle East and Asia - will compete in practical tasks at a regional event held at a Liebherr location, with each regional winner qualifying for the final.

The five finalists will then compete in Ehingen during Liebherr's Customer Days in June 2027 - with around 3,000 visitors due to attend - where they will be assessed on safety, dexterity and technical understanding. The top three will receive vouchers for the Liebherr Shop, worth €2,500 for first place, €1,250 for second and €500 for third. The reigning champion, Scott White of City Lifting, will be involved in judging the final.
