Franna Australia has appointed Mark Salmon as regional sales manager for New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania.
He joins the company from Hyundai excavator distributor the Porter group where he has been business development manager covering sales in Canberra & Southern NSW and major accounts for the past 10 years.
In his new role, he will support existing Franna customers and look to increase sales across his region.

Salmon began his working life in 1984 when he joined the Australian Army, serving almost 11years before moving into construction, starting out as a sales representative with Komatsu. In 2004 he jmoved to Coca-Cola Amatil, the local bottler, where he worked as a sales manager for almost six years before becoming New South Wales state manager at oil & gas company National Oilwell Varco- NOV. In 2014 he rejoined the construction machinery market with equipment service, maintenence and parts company AWD where he was national sales manager for two and a half years before joining Porter.
Franna Australia general manager Danny Black said: “Mark brings an outstanding combination of industry knowledge, technical understanding and customer focused sales experience. Throughout his career he has built strong relationships across construction, infrastructure, quarrying and mining markets, making him exceptionally well placed to support our customers."
Salmon added: “I'm looking forward to working closely with customers throughout this region, understanding their lifting requirements and helping them get the most from their equipment and operations."
