The T40 extends to 12.2 metres platform height, or 14 metres working height. Horizontal reach is 10.4 metres, which provides 233.5 square metres of unrestricted working range. The 227 kilogram capacity unit also features a 1 metre x 2.4 metre basket comprising a swing gate, inside handrails and 180 degree platform rotation.

Grove previously paused the production of the T40 to focus on the larger T60, T65J, T80 and T86J models, during a time which the company described as being a changing platform market. The company also said that since Manlift’s restructuring under the Manitowoc Crane Group, customer demand has sparked the come back of the T40, which is now once again in production.
