Rami adds in Sweden

Ramirent the Finnish based international rental company has acquired has acquired Hyresmaskiner i Stockholm AB, which trades as Tidermans through four locations in Gävle, Falun, Rättvik and Mora.

The company has annual revenues of around €10 million and strengthens Ramirent’s presence in the Stockholm and Uppsala regions of Sweden.

Tidermans was founded in 1993 and rents out a wide range of machinery and equipment for the construction industry including a fleet of aerial work platforms, largely small scissors, articulated booms and trailer lifts. The company has 29 employees.

Mikael Öberg, managing director, of Ramirent AB, Rami’s Swedish subsidiary said: “It is with great pleasure that I welcome Tidermans into the Ramirent family. This acquisition brings us closer to our customers and is in line with Ramirent’s strategy of growing in select markets through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions of small and midsize operations.”

Börje Toresson, managing director of Hyresmaskiner added: “For us, this is a natural next step in Tidermans development. In Ramirent we have found a professional and strong owner with company values similar to ours. I look forward to contributing to the future development of the Ramirent Group.”

The acquisition completes in January and will take the number of Ramirent locations in Sweden to 57.
