BBC Radio Four feature Crane programme

BBC Radio Four is this week repeating the series of short programmes on the crane industry, entitled 'Life of Cranes'. Presented by Dylan Winter, the run of five programmes will be broadcast daily at 15:45, each lasting 15 minutes.

Today's programme, "Slinging the load", covers the art of slinging and the work carried out by riggers and banksmen.

Firday's broadcast might appeal to an even wider crane industry audience. Entitled "Future of Craneology" it will discuss what the future may behold for the crane industry.

The recordings featue a number of personalities from the industry including Martin Ainscough and Bill Green among others.
