Death Wish 40

A reader spotted this man pointing a wall in West Yorkshire recently, he has used two extendable ladders and is working up to six metres high. He has used two lightweight plank supports and an old wooden plank as a platform.

This is almost as bad as it gets

One ladder is not straight

The ladders are spaced so that the plank only just overlaps

The plank already has a significant bow in it and he is not yet in the centre.

Look at the state of that plank and how much overlap he has

Not only is the platform inherently unsafe in itself, it must have been fairly tricky climbing from the ladders onto the plank, especially with his bucket and plank.
How this did not end in tears is a mystery. The thing is … this joker is probably still using this fine piece of access equipment!

This just goes to show that there are still plenty of people out there who have no notion of safe and efficient access equipment.
