A-Plant wins cladding business
A-Plant Powered Access of the UK, has been awarded preferred supplier status by All Mass Cladding Systems of Bristol, one of the UK’s leading cladding contractors.
According to All Mass, there were a number of reasons for appointing A-Plant, including the age profile of its fleet, the product mix with new products from JLG, Skyjack, Genie and Niftylift, and the reporting and IT capabilities that A-Plant offers through the company’s customer Extranet.
Alan Bigwood, health & safety manager of All Mass Cladding, said: “The broad, high quality product range and very low age profile of the A-Plant Powered Access fleet is of a superior order. A-Plant has the wide variety of products from compact electric scissor lifts to the highest telescopic booms and scissors that we needed to install the specified construction products. As well as the right product, we also benefit from the advice and expertise provided by A-Plant personnel to ensure we have the most efficient solutions for the installation our vertical and horizontal cladding systems.”
“For example, on a recent prestigious cladding project at the new stadium for Cardiff City Football Club, where a fleet of 15 A-Plant machines were working, Christian Dobbin, the All Mass account manager at A-Plant worked closely with Wayne Wheadon, the All Mass project manager, visiting site regularly to advise on the A-Plant equipment needed to meet the complex tasks on the project. One key issue was that in various areas, All Mass was working off concrete floor slabs inside the stadium which required lighter machines and to meet this requirement, Dobbin specified special electric scissor lifts which could be craned up onto the different slab levels while meeting the engineers point loadings.”
