Energy worker shocked
The 42 year old man who is employed by Ergon Energy, received severe burns to over 25 percent of his body including his back and abdomen. He was part of a crew carrying out line work in Mount Tully Road, Stanthorpe.
A co worker also in the platform was uninjured but was treated for shock at the scene. The injured man was taken to Stanthorpe Hospital, before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he was in a stable condition last night.
Ergon Energy declined to comment, but did say that the incident was being investigated by the Electrical Safety Office.
