Slow start at Rental Show
The ARA- Rental show opened to a slow start yesterday as far as aerial lift and telehandler exhibitors in the Heavy Construction hall were concerned…
The hall is separated from the other areas by a bridge that has not helped traffic encourage traffic from the busier Light Construction and Party halls.
Genie, Haulotte, Skyjack, Snorkel, Nifty lift, Oil&Steel, MEC, Teupen, MLE, Omme and several others are exhibiting, the only notable exception is JLG. However a number of senior JLG staff were walking the display halls, including chief executive Craig Paylor.
Skyjack is now shipping its new 46ft articulated boom following an extensive test programme since it was first seen at APEX last September.
Aichi’s latest product launches were all displayed on the stand of Toyota Material Handling in that company’s bright orange livery. The company is stepping up the recruitment of Toyota dealers to join the Aichi network, It says that its prices are now very competitive wth the big domestic producers, at least at dealer net level.
Snorkel showed a number of recently launched Snorkel versions of UpRight procusts such as the TL47, PLE24 and UL lift.
