Tower crane falls in Jeddah

A tower crane came crashing down across a road in the Al Rawdah district of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, earlier this week striking two cars and injuring the crane’s operator and the driver of one of the cars.

The accident occurred on Monday morning when the crane simply tipped from the base of its tower, which was roughly four storeys high, it came down across all four lanes of a divided highway.

No further confirmable information is available at this time, Three truck mounted cranes were brought in to remove the crane and the road was reopened by Monday evening.
