Death Wish 60

Spotted on the last Saturday in March, in Bayton road industrial Estate Coventry, UK, two men have used a 45ft lift to reach the roof and have then climbed out and are working on the roof with very long lanyards attached to the platform anchor points.

This is the send time in March that we covered such a case, there is already some debate about when, if and how those in a platform work outside of the platform on some applications.

The men hoist themselves up with materials and then leave the platform.

The two have exceptionally long lanyards attached to the boom platform, which is almost worse than not having one at all

The fact is in this case that should one or both of the loose their footing and fall the dynamic loading of the fall with a long lanyard is likely to tip the boom lift over, bringing it crashing down on them.

The lanyard ought to be attached to a special line on the building.
