Roger Brown retires from Genie
Terex has announced that former Genie owner and senior vice president of global sales Roger Brown, will retire at the end of December.
Brown was one of the three partners who took Genie Industries from a small manufacturer of AWP push around and material lifts to one of the top two manufacturers of aerial work platforms, before selling the business to Terex in 2002.

Terex AWP president Tim Ford, said: “Roger is an icon in the aerial industry and has engendered a feeling of respect among those he worked alongside and led. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Roger for all that he has done for our organisation. He provided true value and helped customers to grow their businesses and will be greatly missed internally as well as throughout the industry. But we will build upon his legacy and will be stronger for it.”
Joe George, Genie vice president of global sales for will take over Brown’s responsibilities from January first.

Brown is the last of the three man Genie leadership team to leave the company, Ward Bushnell was the first to depart on April 1 2005, followed by founder Bob Wilkerson at the end of 2006.
