HWS trio acquire Eurosupply
Eurosupply Hoogwerksystemen of Moerdijk, Netherlands has been acquired by the owners of HWS Rental - Dick Schalekamp, Coert Nodelijk and Allard Maij.
The trio purchased HWS Rental - with locations in Noordwijk and Nunspeet - in January this year.
See New owners for HWS. This is their second acquisition.
Eurosupply - formed in 1990 - is owned by Daan van de Poel and operates in the Netherlands and Belgium being the distributor for Niftylift, Multitel and Nostolift as well as being a sub dealer for Genie.
Daan van de Poel will remain with the business with Noderlijk as general manager, Maij as commercal director and Schalekamp as managing director.
Speaking of his decision to sell, van de Poel said: "The chances of our success to build further are there without a doubt. But doing that, I had to limit those things I love to do. By transferring the business to the new owners, and keeping an active role at the sales and technical level, I think I have taken the best decision to the company, its employees and customers but also for myself. After their departure from Riwal, I kept in touch with Dick, Coert and Allard and after their acquisition of HWS we started talking about our respective plans and we quickly reached an agreement. "

Nodelijk added: "The fact that this second acquisition has come so quickly is primarily due to the opportunity to obtain a healthy and all round platform company like Eurosupply. The dealerships from leading brands, rental activities in South West Netherlands, the training centre in Moerdijk, the growing parts business and the team with enormous technical knowledge and skills are of great value to us. Eurosupply and HWS remain separate companies, but we will definitely look to take full advantage of each other's strengths and synergy benefits. We are very grateful to Daan that he entrusts his company, employees and customers to us and mostly because he remains on board to lift Eurosupply to greater heights together with us. "
Vertikal Comment
We knew another acquisition was on the way but did not see this one coming. In a market where most large rental companies also have a sales arm it makes sense. It is also a business that will fit and ‘gel’ with HWS and its new owner s and given their management style that is important.
The challenge will be what comes next, although the three have enormous potential with what they have already for organic growth. But it would not surprise me if several other rental companies are talking to the three in a bid to join the bandwagon.
