Aaron Barden
Barden, has previous experience in the UK equipment rental market having been sales director at Brandon Hire for two years until 2009. He also has more than 12 years of experience in the construction industry, gained in a variety of sales and operational roles, most recently as operations director for the National Federation of Builders. Earlier in his career he worked with Anglo American and Bunzl.
Hewden said: “His new role will see him working closely with the company’s 70-strong sales force as well as internal product specialists to ensure each customer receives the ideal hire package for its requirements.”
Barden added: “Hewden already holds preferred supplier status with many top-ranking contractors and to maintain this consistently high level of service, we are continuing to invest in our national account sales executive (NASE) team to support our national accounts sales managers, helping to develop relationships with local site managers and acting as the first point of contact for equipment requirements."
The company has also announced the appointment of a further nine graduates to its NASE scheme.
“I will also be working closely with our internal and external sales teams to ensure that we continue to deliver the breadth and quality of product our customers have come to expect, combined with simple processes that make Hewden safe, efficient and easy to trade with,” he finished.
All i can say Aaron is good luck!!
The hewden brand once had an excellent name with-in the Construction industry, many years ago.
Unfortunatley The Hewden heirachy disposed of all there experience with knowledge and now rely on the "NASE Team of box tickers" sorry folks but true. All that Hewden seem to be waiting for is for the Industry to be bouyant again and then sell to another Company, (or sell off in parts) All you have here is Management team that changes direction from one day to the next. As for preferred supplier staus the reason Hewden have them is because no else wants them. We can all be busy fools. Sorry for the rant but this is just another typical example of a once good Company being destroyed.

Just so there is no confusion! Ian James of Bronto Skylift ex Grove has not posted any comments regarding Hewden.

Hewden? Are they still trading?
On the day Lavendon announce record profits I wonder what ever happened to the successful and profitable Access Business at Hewden, If memory serves they were once in the top 5 Access companys in the UK and held deals with large steel erectors and cladders etc in a national basis, obviously Hewden decided they did not need this revenue during the economic downturn!!
Will the last one out of Hewden Please turn out the lights!
anvil
Think he will have his work cut out with HEWDEN, the only plan they seem to have is closing depots and shrinking the company.
But Best of Luck to him ;-) HE WILL NEED IT
Gazz

Hewden Employing someone?? bucks the trend of compromise agreements and depot closures that the business has been awash with!!!
Hewden name in the industry is not what it was.. jack of all trades master of none !!
Shame to see what has happened to this business - not all can be blamed on economic downturn either.
