Steve Couling to leave Versalift
Steve Couling, managing director of Versalift UK will leave the business later this summer in order to invest in, and run another company.
In a note to staff late last week Couling said: “It is with regret that I must inform you that I have decided to take on a new challenge. In September, I will invest in and become managing director of another business.”

He has declined to provide any details, at this stage, of where he is going, but we understand that it is not another access equipment manufacturer, but it is likely to be associated with the industry, as there has been no suggestion that he will resign as president of IPAF before completing his two year term.
The recruitment process to find a successor has been launched already and he will be directly involved in the process of hiring a replacement.
Couling moved to Versalift from UpRight in mid-2004 in order to take over from managing director Tony Coleman who retired at the end of that year. Since then the company has continued to prosper and holds a dominant share of the UK/Ireland van mounted, insulated and utility aerial lift markets.
