Socage up 55%

Italian based aerial lift manufacturer Socage has reported a 55 percent increase in its revenues for 2010. The company - bought by Paolo Troni and Fiorenzo Flisi from Fassi in September 2009 – Revenues have climbed from €18.5 million in 2009 to €28.5 million for 2010.

Since the new owners took over, the company says it has made great strides with sales to large rental companies and end users helped by a number of new product launches during the period.

To cope with the increased demand Socage has invested heavily in improved production equipment and buildings at its two facilities in Modena, Italy.

A new production line in San Felice Sul Panaro will build the smaller truck mounts and is due to be completed by the end this month with full production by end of May 2011. Monthly production capacity will, it says, increase from 50 to 80 platforms.

This year Socage celebrates 30 years in the truck mounted platform market, its first unit, the Sky Nest 14/7 was launched in 1981.
