Régis sells six locations to Loxam
Loxam has acquired six rental depots in Ile de France and Picardy from Régis Location.
The locations: Colombes, Mantes- La-Jolie, Gisors, Méru, Beauvais and Clermont will transfer complete with staff and equipment to Loxam tomorrow - March 1st.
Régis can trace its roots back to 1956 when Pierre Régis started working on his own, he formed his first company Ets Pierre Régis in Montville, Normandy in 1957, selling and repairing building equipment.
Régis Location was founded in 1976 by Jérôme Régis and is still managed by him and his brother Nicolas. The company still sells equipment as renting it. Product lines include aerial work platforms and telehandlers alongside a wide range of general site equipment
In recent years the company has been highly acquisitive buying Colobat, Logitra, Axe Equipement, Gap Location, Zanetti and most recently Célerier. It is this that has given the company too many locations in the Paris region and thus the disposal.
The sale will reduce its network from 89 to 83 locations in the Ile-de-France, Normandy, Picardy, Pays-de-Loire, Provence, Aquitaine and Martinique.
This purchase takes the total number of Loxam depots to 533 with a fleet 200,000 machines, revenues in 2010 were in excess of €700 million.
