Barin delivers latest unit to South Korea

Barin of Italy has delivered its latest under bridge inspection unit to Busan Metropolitan City in South Korea, where it has been put straight to work on the Busan Bridge. The new model, allocated ABC 200/L, is mounted on a four-axle Scania P114GB truck chassis and can work with maximum horizontal underbridge length of 20 metres.

Barin said that the unit was chosen because of its ability to launch the platform between the two bridge decks and also because of a special pier inspection device that allows one operator to be lowered down to 44 metres under the bridge prior to the launch of the core equipment. An electric lift in the main working platform also provides the operator with extra 4 metres of elevation above the platform floor during work.
