UK based truck bed manufacturer Sterling has launched the 'Miniload', a new beavertail truck body for transporting light equipment in urban environments.
The new Miniloader
The Miniload truck body is available in 7.2 to 14 tonne configurations with internal deck lengths ranging from five to seven metres. The beavertail body incorporates high beam crossmembers threaded through body runners and positioned at nominal 300mm centres to maximise point load distribution.
The main body features 220mm hardwood decking with steel mesh surface on the ramps. 3.5 tonne lashing rings are positioned along the side rail at 900mm intervals and in recessed chain trays at the front of the body.
Standard features include a folded 1.5 or 1.6 metre headboard with tapered sides, chain lock bars integrated to the headboard, and fixed work lights. Standard equipment includes a 3.6 tonne electric winch, a one metre plastic toolbox, and beacons fitted to the rear corners.
Options include a 3.5 tonne towing ball and jaw coupling, ramp upgrades to full width straight ramps, alternative decking options and additional safety equipment.
Based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, Sterling, has been manufacturing trailers and truck bodies since 1996.
