Kestrel sells hoist business

Bristol based Kestrel Access has sold its goods hoist business to Hoist Hire services Ltd, also based in Bristol, for an undisclosed sum.

Kestrel’s Sales Director, Tony Ireland, who concluded the deal with Hoist Hire, said that “the deal will enable the company to concentrate all its efforts on its core personnel lift hire business”.

Kestrel, is based in St, Philips, Bristol and specialises in the rental of aerial lifts, predominantly self propelled scissor and boom lifts. The company now has a 300 unit strong fleet and operates within a 75 mile radius of Bristol.

Hoist Hire is based in Ashton Bristol, and specialises in material and transport hoists, including rack and pinion and ladder types. The company also has a branch in Devon and covers the whole of the south west. Hoist Hire’s managing director, Jerry Douce said “The purchase of Kestrel’s goods hoist division will strengthen the company’s position as an important provider of mast climber goods hoists in and around Bristol”
