Ian James joins APS

Ian James previously owner of Delta Rentals, the Manlift Toucan dealer for the UK prior to its acquisition by JLG, has joined Access Platform Sales Ltd (APS) of Huntingdon, as General Manager.

James brief is to raise the company’s sales profile with the UK/Ireland powered access rental industry while taking over some of the general management duties currently handled by founder Jim Daintith.

APS is one of the UK’s largest independent access sales companies with a strong end user base. Its main product line is the Snorkel range of self propelled lifts, other lines for which it has national distribution include Leguan skid steer boom lifts and a range of board handling equipment. The company is also a regional dealer for Genie and Nifty lift.
In addition to the Huntingdon HQ, APS has locations in Dublin and Glasgow and operates a national network of mobile service technicians.

Jim Daintith (L) welcomes Ian James to APS


Delta was placed into administrative protection after sales dropped following the sale of Groves Manlift business. Sister company Blueline is expected to take on most of the Delta sales accounts.
