New Performance range from Hinowa
Italian spider lift manufacturer Hinowa has celebrated its 25th anniversary with the introduction of the first unit in a new Performance IIIS spider lift range.
The 17 metre Lightlift 17.75 IIIS offers seven metres of outreach, with an up and over height of eight metres and an unrestricted platform capacity of 230kg. The overall stowed dimensions are 4.5 metres long by 1.3 metres wide. Integrated forklift guides and heavy duty lifting eyes are standard to make loading and unloading the machine an easier and safer task. Power sources include a Honda Igx440 petrol engine, Hatz diesel, a 90Ah battery pack or a 230V AC.
Fitted with the company’s Auto2Speed traction system the machine can achieve a travel speed of 3.5km/h, while its inclination control system automatically decelerates the machine when moving on uneven surfaces. The smart remote controller ensures that the latest software has been downloaded and an icon informs the operator when the machine is nearing a service.

Hinowa’s marketing director Davide Fracca said: “We are extremely satisfied with the new Performance IIIS line. The tests performed by our distributors have given very positive results. The proportional controls, higher platform capacity and unrestricted working envelope, combined with excellent traction and speed thanks to the Auto2Speed system, make this machine very interesting for a wide range of customers. We expect to gain additional market share with this Heavy Duty product, which complements our existing IIIS line.”

The higher platform capacity and unrestricted working envelope will be much appreciated on this product, while the extra electronic technology will appeal to some and frighten others. How it performs in a tough working environment with users who do not read the manual is the true test.
Hinowa has a good reputation for thoroughly testing any new technology before launch – this updated and upgraded version of its popular 17 metre spider lift is the result of three years research and development – so one can assume that it will be no exception.
