The overturned telehandler
The telehandler, a recent JLG unit rented from Hertz, - possibly a 17 metre 10-55? - was side-on to the hill and did not appear to have its stabilisers down. It had a fair bit of its four section boom out and was fitted with a telescopic jib which it appeared to be using to lift one end of a swing-stage platform.

It looks as though the stabilisers were not used to help level the unit
The boom struck a pick-up truck and brought down at least one street light pole.
The police closed the intersection for investigation and switched the power off in order to facilitate the safe recovery with a large wrecker truck.
