Ziegler takes 100th GMK6300L

German crane and access rental company Ziegler has taken delivery of the 100th Grove GMK6300L All Terrain crane.

Launched at Bauma three years ago, the 300 tonne GMK6300L features a seven section 80 metre main boom and 29 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which provides a 112 metre maximum tip height. The lifting capacity with full boom and counterweight is 12 tonnes at 12 metres radius and two tonnes at 74 metres. Maximum counterweight is 92.5 tonnes with numerous configurations down to seven tonnes.

Manitowoc executive vice president Philippe Cohet said: “It’s outstanding to sell a crane of this size at such a high rate — it’s a sign of its popularity. A key to its success is that the crane helps companies grow by completing more projects and taking on bigger jobs. It’s also a testament to the recent quality improvements carried out at our Wilhelmshaven plant, which the GMK6300L is the first crane to benefit from.”
