Linamar acquires in Germany

Skyjack owner Linamar has acquired a camshaft manufacturing business in Germany.

The company has agreed to purchase Mubea Motorkomonenten’s camshaft manufacturing and distribution business located in Hildburghausen, Thale and Thale-Warnstedt, Germany. The three locations employ approximately 110 people.

Linamar chief executive Linda Hasenfratz said: "We are pleased to add this leading-edge lightweight and fuel efficient hydroformed and assembled camshaft technology to our existing technology portfolio on camshafts. Mubea has done an excellent job of developing very high quality and highly efficient camshaft hydroforming technologies which we feel will allow us to further penetrate this exciting global market.”
