ALE adds Nooteboom trailers
Leading heavy transportation and lifting company, ALE, has now taken delivery of almost all of its 16 Nooteboom trailers to transport wind turbine parts. The order mainly consisted of eight axle extendible semi low-loaders and four axle Quatro extendible Telesteps.
The equipment will be used to erect about 200 wind turbines in the Eastern-Cape and West-Coast regions of South Africa.The components of these turbines are transported over land from various ports to their destinations.

Loading a tower piece on the eight axle Nooteboom semi low-loader at Saldanha bay (Western Cape), 140km north of Cape Town.
ALE director South Africa Jan Yntema said: “We can see important long-term opportunities in South-Africa for wind energy and the Nooteboom trailers are widely known to set the trend in innovative solutions for wind turbine transportatoin. The superior quality, the specific adjustments for South Africa and the after-service they offer have been the deciding factors here.”
ALE has also invested in nine new mobile cranes for the installation of the wind turbines.

Nooteboom has delivered most of its trailers to ALE including the four axle triple extendible Telestep.
